When I read about Jenny's Bubba the other day, my eyes welled up with tears as I thought about losing one of my cats, especially our older one. Little did I know that I'd be facing such a loss so soon.
Gah. I have to keep this short because I cannot stop sobbing.
Yesterday we had to put down our beautiful, loving cat Casi after a sudden acute illness. She was 16 years old.
She had a happy, wonderful life with us and her "sister" Chika. We already miss her like crazy. (I really need to teach myself how to go to sleep without the thud of her jumping up on the bed to lay next to me.)
Rest in peace, my sweet girl.

Oh, I'm SO sad for you. I am glad Casi didn't have to suffer, but those sudden illnesses don't give you any time to process beforehand. My thoughts are with you and your family.

So sorry! We've experienced a plethora of cat deaths in the last two years and when a neighbor climbed onto our front porch (in December) saying she had hit one of our kittens with her car? Yeah...that was one shitty day.

What a beautiful kitty. So sorry for your loss. We lost our beloved dog of 10 years last August. These animals become a part of the family rather than just a pet. It's so heard to say goodbye to such loyal companions.
