My take on real moms

I got tagged for Kristen's awesome Real Moms meme by both Mamatulip and PunditMom.  I've had this idea brewing since MT first tagged me, but I've been too lazy to get the damn camera out (Real Moms: lazy as hell) before tonight.

Anyway.  You know those stupid sayings like, "You know what happens when you assume?  You make an ASS out of U and ME!"  Yeah, they're pretty annoying.

But did you ever notice the first two letters in Mother are MO?  As in, "mo' money, mo' problems?"  Surely this is not a coincidence.  Well, it isn't a coincidence for me, as I am about to demonstrate.

(In the photos that follow, the object on the left represents the Pre-Mom State.  The object on the right represents the reality of the Real Mom.)

Real Moms...

...drink MO coffee

Img_4409

... have MO reading material (but not MO interesting)

Img_4411

... have a MO complex beauty regimen

Img_4415

... wear MO practical shoes

Img_4418

... have MO fabric covering our asses (it's hard to tell here, but these jeans are significantly different sizes)

Img_4422

... graduate from the "plum tomato" size bra to the "grapefruit" to accommodate MO, bigger jahoobies

Img_4423

... can no longer wear undergarments of dental-floss size proportions due to MO junk in the trunk.

But Real Moms also have one MO thing:

... MO love.

Real Moms: Putting the MO in motherhood since we popped out those first kiddos.

Now I tag the following amazing Real Moms: Rhonda, Wendy, Jamie, Kari, Sarah, and.... hmmm.... ah, what the hell... Amalah.

God, those boy shorts in that last picture look embarrassingly huge...

Hah thanks for reminding me I have so much MO to look forward to. Luckily my ass is already planet-sized so I doubt it can grow bigger. (I realize that's like standing in a thunderstorm with a giant umbrella saying "hah I'll never get hit by lightning")

You're probably even MO funny since momdom, too!

EX-cellent photos! And, BTW, MO fans!

And it's that last picture that makes our lives so much MO wonderful!

I think jahoobies is my new favorite word.

awww.. that cheered me right up! you're the greatest!

Mo junk in the trunk? Whatchutalkin' about? ;)

I LOVE it! Now this is a meme I look forward to doing, although I'm not sure I'm brave enough to photograph the thongs that have been pushed aside by 100 percent cotton granny panties. ;)

Love it! Now I have to get to work on mine *and yes, Real Moms are MO lazy fo sho*

*snort* Jahoobies? I've never heard that before. I love it.

Great take on the meme! Thanks for playing. ;)

it's so true. all of it.
except the underwear for me...i try to pretend that my ass isn't 14 times larger than it was when i was a teenager.

Despite three kids, my...erm..."jahoobies"...are still the same size. Is that okay?

The original book likely got you MO love! Your daughters are beautiful.

By the way your underwear appears larger than it is due to being placed next to the pink frilly dental floss.

LOVE this. I have been tagged to do this meme, too, though, and now I'm just stymied because you used up all the cute and creative in the room. :)

I'll be giggling over the word "jahoobies" all day.

Great take on this meme!

Ha! That was FANtastic!

Mo applause!

I love this one! Mo better! (As my toddler would say.)

I did this one, but yours is way better! Jahoobies-HA!!!

Jahoobies.

Love it. Now I only wish I had some.

I was tagged for this meme too, but I think you've said it all!

Well done.

Jahoobies. Snicker.

Oh man! I needed that laugh! Quite creative I must say!

Beautiful job. This is one of my mo' favorite responses to the meme!

One of my favourites of these so far!

You rock, Nancy! And not just cause you too photos of your underwear and what looks like a training bra (you cute small boobed thing!) and shared them on the internet.

You made me smile and laugh out loud...
and made me want to hug you...
You rock Momma!!!

Oh my god Nancy, can I tell you I recently pulled out my pre-pregnancy bras and undies and did a side by side comparison and it was both shocking and depressing :o)

I AM still wearing maternity thongs at nine months pregnant and let me just say, there is NOTHING sexy about that. Thanks for reminding me it's all worth it.

That was great!!!!!!

Nance, I FINALLY did it!!!!!
